The Rotary Club of Timaru has present $39,000 to various community organisations.

The Rotary Club of Timaru has presented $39,000 to organisations that will benefit through the club’s fundraising activities.

President Tony Henderson said the amount had been raised in recent months from a charity auction, trusts, and the club’s hotdog van.

Organisations to benefit include South Canterbury Gymsports, towards redevelopment of the former Century Pool complex ($10,000); Presbyterian Support South Canterbury for the purchase of a van ($4000); Ronald McDonald House ($5000); Timaru Boys’ High School for the purchase of rowing equipment ($7000); and the South Canterbury Playcentre Association ($4000).
