Wayward pooch rescued
Washdyke firemen went on a Minnie mission yesterday.
A small cavalier king charles spaniel called Minnie became lost and her owner found her at the bottom of a six-metre cliff off Richmond St.
The dog was injured and her owner needed help to rescue her wayward pooch. Firefighters used a neighbouring house to access the dog, climbing across rocks to bring Minnie home.
Fireman Brian Stone said it was an easy rescue with a happy ending.
