Glenview Kindergarten children have more room to play with the installation of a new playground.
Matting replaces bark, using up dead space and taking away constant maintenance, said head teacher Carol Fettes.
The upgrade took three weeks and cost $26,000. The money was raised through fundraisers, an investment fund and a grant from the Lions club.
Mrs Fettes said the new layout is ideal and more versatile as they can now move the playing blocks around the space, instead of the straight line they use to be in.
It also allows them to use the playground in winter when they cannot play on the grass.
Mrs Fettes said parents initially couldn't visualise how the playground was going to look but now they have seen it they are blown away by it.
"They think it's absolutely fantastic and the kids love it."
