Climber hurt at Aoraki
An 18-year-old Australian prompted a call to the alpine rescue team in the Aoraki/ Mt Cook National Park yesterday.
The youth, who was part of a guided climbing party, injured his knee about 2pm while navigating his way over Sladden Saddle.
Twizel Constable Joe Rush said the rescue was straight forward. "He was just picked up by the alpine rescue team because he was unable to walk."
