New self service popular
The self service petrol station at Z Energy has been up and running since last week and so far there have been no complaints.
The Timaru Herald ran a story last week about the self service petrol stations at Pak ‘n' Save causing confusion for first-time customers and the matter has since been looked into.
Christine Langdon, a spokesperson for Z Energy is quite happy with the feedback they have received in relation to the new self service stations.
"It has been really popular with business people and people who have got the Z card," Ms Langdon said.
The system is quick, efficient and easy to use and customers have help if they need it or have trouble operating the system.
"We have a concierge to help people between the hours of 10am and 5pm," Ms Langdon said.
"People have a choice - they can come inside and pay or use the station."
Ms Langdon said that it has been a popular choice with people on the go, like families with children and motorbike users.
