What do you do when the card you want to transfer your camera pictures to, turns out to be somebody else's?

A man who was working in Saudi Arabia but is now in Timaru faces that quandary. He bought a camera with a camera bag but has not used the camera since he was overseas last October.

While searching his bag for a memory card recently, he found a 1GB, SD card belonging to some one else instead.

Not knowing what to do with the card, he brought it to the attention of Timaru Herald staff. The photos are timestamped from 2005 to 2010 and appear to show family photos from Mt Cook and the lakes.

The memory card has gone to the police lost and property section where it will stay until someone claims it.

We would like to reunite the card with its rightful owner whoever they might be. If you can identify any of the people in these photos, please contact esther@timaruherald.co.nz
