 A teenager is recovering in Auckland's Starship Hospital after falling more than 30m on to rocks.

NewstalkZB reported the boy's fall happened yesterday at the southern end of Pauanui Beach, on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter chief paramedic Barry Watkins said he suffered only cuts and bruises.
