A Pareora man, 45, was charged last night at 9pm after he is alleged to have assaulted a 17-year-old youth.

A Timaru man, 32, was charged with intentional damage and possession of cannabis after he smashed a window during a domestic dispute on McDonald St at 4.50pm.

Police stopped a man in his 40s in the Ashbury area and he blew in excess of 800mcg EBA at 4pm.

Constable Sam Bellett would like to receive any information regarding tools taken from a building site on Queen St about midnight.
