A 22-year-old Timaru man was arrested for possession of cannabis at Patiti Point.

At 6.20am a car collided with a cow in Washdyke Flat Rd, the cow died and the car was damaged. The driver was unhurt.

A Invercargill man, 27, had his car impounded for driving while forbidden.

Two Italian men were given pre-charge warnings for possession of cannabis at Patiti Point.A man alleged he was assaulted in George St at 3am.

A Christchurch man was given a pre-charge warning for possession of cannabis after he was found with it at a check point.

A Timaru woman, 36, was processed for drink-driving, she blew 921mcg.

A tavern reports a man entered and stole two bottles of spirits. He was chased by staff and dropped one bottle of spirits. Inquiries are continuing.

A car was found in a ditch on the State Highway 79 between Fairlie and Geraldine. The occupants were not found.
