VANDALISM: A toilet roll was set on fire in a toilet stall at Century Pool.


Police are investigating a reported assault on a young woman by a 17-year-old woman at Caroline Bay at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

A man and woman were reportedly assaulted by a 20-year-old man in Maple Crescent at about 10pm on Wednesday.

A cordless Makita drill was reported stolen from a garage at a Fairlie residence.

An Ashburton woman, 54, driving south at about 11.30pm on Wednesday lost control of her car on roadworks shingle in State Highway 1 and crashed into a fence.

A vehicle reported stolen from Oamaru was found in St Andrews at about 12.40am on Thursday. Police said two Oamaru females, aged 14 and 16, were involved in the incident.


A Timaru man, 19, was found to be driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodlands Rd and North St.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting grocery items from a Ranui Ave business.

Police were investigating a fire that was deliberately set using a toilet roll about 3pm on Thursday at Century Pool. The fire was quickly extinguished but did moderate damage to the site.
