Police said a Timaru man, 47, who fell out of a 4-metre-high window at a North St property had been drinking prior to the incident. He was found unconscious at the scene about 2.30pm on Sunday.

Two vehicles collided head-on at Opihi River Bridge near Temuka at 9.15pm on Sunday, but no injuries were reported. Police said the crash occurred when a German tourist turned left from Arowhenua Rd into the wrong lane of State Highway 1.
