A driver rolled a car along State Highway 1 near Otaio after taking her attention off the road to change the radio station yesterday, police said.
The vehicle hit a bank before overturning. The driver was not injured and no other vehicles were involved.
A Pareora man, 35, was charged with drink driving (905 mcg) at 11pm after he pulled out onto State Highway 1 in front of a passing police patrol car and then nearly hit a bridge.
A Christchurch man, 46, was processed for drink driving about 10.15pm. He chose to have a blood sample taken.
Three vehicles collided in a nose-to-tail crash at the Rangitata Bridge shortly before 6pm. No injuries were reported. Police inquiries are continuing.
A Christchurch man, 27, had his driver's license suspended for excess demerit points.
A Pleasant Point man, 39, had his driver's licence was suspended for 28 days after he was found to be driving at speeds up to 148kph in State Highway 8 at Levels shortly before 10pm. He also received an infringement notice with a fine of $630.
A Timaru woman reported losing her mobile phone in Benvenue Ave at about 8.30pm on Christmas Eve.
