A Timaru man, 27, was taken to Timaru Hospital after crashing into a parked vehicle in Dobson St about 1.40am this morning.

Police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor.

A Timaru man, 20, was charged with driving at dangerous speeds after police said he was clocked at 159kph in an 80kph zone of Fairview Rd about 4.15pm on Sunday.

A Timaru man, 21, was arrested after he was found to be concealing a machete in his trousers in a Sophia St bar about 12.30am on Saturday.

Police are investigating two suspicious fires along State Highway 8. The first occurred on January 8 near Clelands Bridge and the second on Friday near Albury.

A Timaru woman, 24, was trespassed from Malbas Bar in Stafford St about 12.30am on Friday after refusing to leave.
