Two Dunedin residents were charged in relation to the unlawful taking and interfering with a vehicle after being disturbed in Melton St early this morning.
A resident reported a vehicle being interfered with around 1am and a police dog was brought in and located the couple. The 27-year-old woman was charged with unlawful taking and unlawful interfering, and the 22-year-old man with unlawful interfering. A Mazda Familia unlawfully taken from Timaru the previous day was recovered.
Police are investigating two suspicious fires, one in Glen St early this morning, and a second in the grounds of Harvey Norman on Evans St the previous day.
A Pareora youth, 17, was trespassed from a Memorial Ave address following a domestic dispute.
A work ute belonging to Downer's was damaged while parked in Brunswick St early on Saturday morning. The rear window was smashed.
Personal documents and a computer hard drive were taken in the burglary of a Harper St address on Sunday afternoon.
Temuka police are investigating the attempted unlawful taking of a Toyota Hi Lux from a contractor's yard in Hally Terrace around 1am on Monday. The offender was described as a male between 1.8 and 2m in height. He was wearing black pants, a black singlet and a head torch. He had tanned skin.
