A Christchurch man walking in Aoraki Mt Cook National Park has found a camera that he believes could belong to someone from Timaru.

The camera was found on Monday in a spot just before the second bridge on the Hooker Valley Track, Rudi van den Brink said.

It was inside a pouch, he said.

Mr van den Brink said he believes the owner might live in the Timaru area because the photos on the camera include a shot of a concert at the Caroline Bay Soundshell. The owner has also apparently taken a boat ride on the Tasman Glacier Lake.
