Two Timaru girls missing since they went to Caroline Bay on Saturday have turned up.

The girls had hitch-hiked to Christchurch. They turned up at the Temuka police station shortly after 10pm yesterday.

An 18-year-old woman was issued with a police safety order following a domestic-related incident involving her mother.

A Timaru man, 22, was arrested on warrant.

Police offered advice after neighbours called them to an address where an 11-year-old girl was throwing a ''verbal wobbly'' at her mother.
