A Timaru man, 34, was arrested after police executed a warrant about midday on Tuesday at a Laughton St address. Police accused the man of cultivating 20 cannabis plants in a hydroponic grow tent in a garage.

A Waimate man, 18, had his driver's licence suspended after he was stopped for speeding on State Highway 1 about 5.30am on Wednesday. Police said the man was driving at 141kmh in a pink-stickered vehicle.

A Timaru man, 40, was apprehended for drink driving (810 mcg) after being stopped in Sefton St abut 1.30am on Wednesday.

Police attended a burglary at Marsden Rd where a guitar was reportedly stolen.

While working in Timaru, a Christchurch man had his bag stolen from an unlocked van. The bag contained his wallet and passport.

A 33-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested for trespass at Countdown.

A Timaru woman, 18, had her driver's licence suspended for excess demerits.

A Pareora meat worker reported his wallet stolen from his locker.

A Smithfield worker had his wallet stolen from his car while it was parked at his work place.
