Tyler Collings led the South Canterbury charge at QEII Stadium in Christchurch at the weekend, where sprinters encountered nor'westerly headwinds in the hot, humid conditions.
Collings was convincing, winning the men's 16 200m in a personal best of 23.82 seconds with clubmate Harlem Cole third in 24.45sec.
Brett Clifford was an impressive winner of the men's 16 1500m in 4 minutes 24.98sec.
Simon Bunckenburg had his first competition of the season in the men's 19 1500m after returning from Victoria University for the holiday break. Daniel Lord was in dominant form winning the men's 19 3000m track walk in 14min 11.65sec.
In the senior men Daniel Laws took out the 110m hurdles in 18.42sec and the 400m hurdles in 62.43sec.
In the women's 16 grade Lauren Nicol was all power, winning the 100m in 13.41sec and she was second in the 400m.
Lucinda Shaw was equally impressive, winning the women's 16 3000m track walk in 16min 48.45sec.
