HOME: Cycling medallists Westley Gough and Marc Ryan return to New Zealand from a successful Olympics campaign.

Timaru's double Olympic bronze medallist Marc Ryan has arrived back in New Zealand with the spoils of his London Olympic campaign proudly around his neck.

Ryan, who claimed bronze in cycling's men's team pursuit along with Jesse Sergent, Sam Bewley and Aaron Gate defeated Russia by more than two seconds to secure third, replicated his effort of four years ago in Beijing.

Ryan arrived at Auckland International Airport late this morning with the bulk of the New Zealand Olympic team.

Ryan is expected back in Timaru on Friday.

Fellow Timaru-based Olympian Shane Archbold is expected to arrive back in New Zealand next week.
