Roncalli College finished fourth in the Gary Sowden Football Tournament at Sir Basil Arthur Park.
It was, however, an improvement of one place on last year for Roncalli.
They faced a slick Middleton Grange outfit and they proved too strong, winning 3-0.
For Roncalli, keeper Morgan Stevenson had a great tournament, including several excellent saves against Middleton, while centre midfielder Sarah Mathewson also had a good week.
The final went the way of unbeaten Cashmere High School, overcoming Marlborough Girls' College 2-1 after being down 1-0 at halftime.
The second half was all Cashmere High, and they deserved the victory after good set plays and being more constructive on the ball.
