Craighead netballers Georgia Greig and Georgia McRae have missed the cut for the final trial for the New Zealand Secondary Schools team.

Netball New Zealand yesterday named the 27 players selected, with only three from the South Island making it amongst the tough competition.

Dunstan High School's Jamie Hulme has been included as a shooter, along with John Paul's Samantha Sinclair in the midcourt and Buller High School's Charlotte Elley.

New Zealand School's champions Mt Albert Grammar and fellow finalists Tu Toa have five each in the final trial, from which a squad of 15 (including three non-travelling reserves) will be selected.

The players were identified at the New Zealand Talent Development camp at the start of 2012 and then observed and tracked throughout the year at various tournaments.

The New Zealand emerging talent selectors and New Zealand Secondary Schools coaches then observed 59 under-18 players this week at the national development camp held in Cambridge.
