After two days of bowls, Kia Toa were the clear winners in the women's interclub 7s round-robin competition played in hot conditions at the Kia Toa Bowling greens on Thursday and Friday.
Kia Toa will now travel to Balclutha to take part in the Zone 6 finals in early March.
The teams comprised of singles players, pairs and a fours team with seven teams from around South Canterbury competing, each having six games and a bye.
The pairs duo of Janice Styles and June Cronin were on form scoring wins against Temuka (20-12), Timaru (17-11), Geraldine (20-6), West End (22-6) Waimate (18-8), and a draw against Timaru Town and Country (15 -15)
The Kia Toa fours team were also successful winning five out of six games. Skipped by Shona Anderson, they beat Timaru Town and Country Club (12-10), Temuka (20-6), Timaru (16-10) Geraldine (16-5) and Waimate (19-3), losing only to West End (11-12)
In the singles Mata Frankum won two games, narrowly beating Geraldine (21-20) and West End (21-19).
