Timaru Harriers runner Millie Morgan impressively won her first Canterbury title at the Aorangi Park in the under-18 3000m.
Morgan stopped the clock in 10min 30.60sec to beat University's Annie Vincent.
In the men's under-18 championship, Adam Chamberlain (SCAAC) finished fifth, in 9.53.20.
South Canterbury athletes also took out the double in the under-20 discus with Ruby Cochrane impressing with a 42.03m effort while Tom Cooper threw a big 44.41m.
