The South Canterbury 12s dominated the Southern Regions teams event, with both girls and boys winning all their ties in Invercargill.
Harrison Darling and Ben Deeley were the No 1 and 2 and didn't drop a game in doubles or singles. Teisha Holden was playing with an injury but was not tested by her opponents and won each match comfortably.
Emily Gilchrist, Carolyn Murdoch and Tayla Cvitanich all added to the tally with convincing wins. The 12s dropped only four matches out of 48.
The 10s boys, Josh Cameron and Matt Ellis, played exceptionally well and won all their ties but the girls were new to this event and recorded only a couple of wins. The 14s had a more difficult weekend finishing third overall but Jack Deeley led by example and won all his games. While the 16s had some good games they finished in fourth place.
Overall South Canterbury finished third, behind winners Southland and Otago.
Points: Southland 149, Otago 137, South Canterbury 134, Southern Lakes 95, North Otago 45
