Paddon falls to ninth in World Rally Championships
A spin on the final stage of the day has seen Kiwi rally driver Hayden Paddon slip to ninth overall after two days of the World Rally Championship's (WRC) Rally Spain overnight (NZ time).
The 26-year-old and co-driver John Kennard set the eighth quickest time in five of the six stages on day two.
The duo held eighth place overall much of the day, mixing times with established WRC competitors Martin Prokop and team-mate Mads Ostberg in similar Fiesta RS world rally cars.
Paddon is 1.9s adrift of Martin Prokop in eighth place and looking forward to tonight's gravel stages as he continues his debut event in a full WRC car.
