Timaru Girls High School comfortably took out the annual summer exchange against Waitaki Girls High 4-1 in Oamaru.

The TGHS senior volleyball team had a convincing 3-0 win, with Tenisha Peters leading the way with  powerful serves that had Waitaki working hard to return.

The junior girls dropped their opening set but bounced back to take the match 3-1.

TGHS senior touch had a 4-1 win while the  juniors went down 5-1 in slippery conditions.

The cricket match between the two schools was abandoned due to wet ground conditions, but softballers managed to play with TGHS coming out on top with a 15-7, with a good all-round team performance.

This year saw archery introduced to the exchange for the first time and the TGHS girls came out on top with Grace Beatson recording some great results.

TGHS’s Special Olympic team also took out the 10-pin bowling.
