When she's travelling, Mel B keeps it simple.
WHICH WAS YOUR BEST HOLIDAY?
When I was single, and with the rest of the Spice Girls, we went to Maui and stayed at the Kea Lani hotel. It was amazing. We didn't have any security or assistants and we just relaxed and partied for two weeks solid.
AND THE BEST HOTEL YOU'VE STAYED IN?
A little boutique hotel my husband and I stayed at in Hong Kong called the Upper House Hotel ... amazing views and intricate details everywhere.
WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS TAKE WITH YOU?
I always take my iPad, earplugs and a neck pillow. If it's a long flight I change into my pyjamas straightaway and slip on some fluffy socks.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR A PERFECT HOLIDAY?
I like the option of being both super-private and super-sociable. I also need to have a 24-hour gym wherever I go. I'll likely be jet-lagged, which means I'll be working out at all hours.
WHAT'S YOUR BEST PIECE OF TRAVEL ADVICE?
Don't over-pack; just take what you know you're going to wear and nothing more. You're gonna end up shopping anyway.
AND YOUR WORST EXPERIENCE ON HOLIDAY?
When Emma (Bunton) and I took our parents on holiday in Wales. We hired what we thought looked like a quaint little cottage, which turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The electricity wasn't working; it was freezing and just plain creepy. We stayed one night and then got the hell out of there!
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST PACKING MISTAKE YOU'VE MADE?
Not taking my own toothpaste and toothbrush! No matter where they go, they just won't have the same brand or the same toothpaste.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO NEXT?
Cabo, in Mexico. It's not far from LA - where I live for most of the time. I've heard that Cabo is very family-friendly with great weather, lots of activities and good restaurants, so it has a bit of everything.
