GOOD REPUTATION: In Lijiang, a town in the Yunnan province of China signs such as these are all over the tourist area of town. My partner and I spent a lot of our time there giggling at these signs and trying to work them out. One says "Civilized behaviour of tourists is another bright scenery rational shopping", while another I have a photo of said "Mountains and rivers will be your friends and you will be with good reputation as a civilised tourist" which I think was meant to encourage tourists not to litter!
