Sir Peter Jackson has made a cameo appearance in Air New Zealand's latest safety video themed on The Hobbit.
Hobbits, elves and wizards take passengers through a four-minute safety clip, while a couple of familiar faces make brief appearances.
As well as Jackson, New Zealand actor Dean O'Gorman, who plays Fili the Dwarf in The Hobbit movies, features, as well as Gollum.
The newest video has been launched ahead of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey's world premiere in Wellington on November 28.
It will be rolled out on all domestic and international flights.
Previous Air New Zealand safety videos include the All Blacks, a fitness guru Richard Simmons and the voices of Kiwi actress Melanie Lynskey and Modern Family actor Ed O'Neill.
Meanwhile, Kiwis will get to see Jackson's first offering before anyone else in the world.
The first of three instalments of The Hobbit was due to be screened worldwide from December 13 but will now be available in New Zealand cinemas a day earlier, Roadshow Films NZ announced last night.
