A perfect replica of an Italian town featuring a canal and a coliseum has sprung up as a shopping mall in the district of Wuqing on the outskirts of Tianjin.

"Florentia" was built on an empy cornfield at the cost of about $220 million (NZ$400 million) and copies old Italian-style architecture with Florentine arcades, a grand canal, bridges, and a Coliseum-like building.
