If it's good enough for the Royals, it's good enough for CNN.
The global media giant has rated Queenstown's Shotover Jet amongst the best in the world for tourism experiences in their "scrap all those other bucket lists" list.
Listed alongside luxury island-hopping in Thailand, $250,000 nights in Las Vegas, and renting billionaire Richard Branson's personal island in Australia, the jet boat thrill is certainly amongst good company.
Shotover Jet is the only New Zealand activity to make the 19-strong list.
CNN said Shotover Jet whooshed to fame earlier this year when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came along for the thrill ride of their lives which helped raise the company's international profile.
Shotover Jet General Manager Clark Scott said the company was proud to be among the top-rated in the world.
"Shotover Jet is one of New Zealand's most iconic activities and it's great to see it rubbing shoulders with experiences that are simply beyond the reach of most tourists," Scott said.
"It's not just about being an exclusive thrill; being affordable for families and our visitors from all around the world is really important to us. I think we've found that balance between being a fantastic activity, but without the heavy price tag.
"We're constantly developing and incorporating new and exciting products and 'tweaks' to what we do so well, to keep Shotover Jet one of the top-rated activities around."
