Matt Bolton shines light on his hidden gem in the Hibiscus Coast
The Hibiscus Coast in North Auckland is known for its "hidden gems" and beautiful locations that some people can't get enough of.
Whangaparaoa's Matt Bolton is one of those people who loves to explore the beauty of the Coast and find hidden locations.
One location Bolton came across was a cliff in Little Manly.
"Little Manly is one of my favourite spots for cliff jumping. I first stumbled across the spot when I was searching for new clips for a video I was creating under MBM Productions," he said.
Bolton describes Little Manly as a natural playground with "plenty of cliffs to jump off, plenty of trees to climb, even a rope swing".
"The main thing is you can only jump off the cliffs at high tide, even then we always check the depth first before we jump.
"It's important to enforce safety like this because I have had friends in the past permanently injure themselves from such activities," he said.
Bolton grew up on the Coast and said he loves the diversity of each suburb and the beaches.
There are plenty of things people can do around the Coast, he said.
"Similar to Little Manly cliffs would be Hobbs Wharf in Gulf Harbour or the Wharf at Orewa. There are even a few hidden gems around Army Bay."
Bolton is the lead content creator and editor for MBM Productions and likes to focus on visual storytelling. He offers to help others create short, inspiring videos.
"One of my previous creations was a drone video of the Hibiscus Coast which was also previously shared on Stuff," he said.
