Hobbit stars rave about New Zealand
When the actors were not working on The Hobbit, they squeezed every drop of their free time in tourist activities.
In a video for Pure New Zealand, the cast itemises what they did with their time off and gush over the country's natural beauty.
They skied, took helicopter rides to the Marlborough Sounds, and drove to Queenstown
"It was more incredible than you can describe, it was more beautiful than I know how to put into words," said Evangeline Lilly, who plays the elf Tauriel.
"It was truly and utterly breath-taking."
Self-professed adrenaline junkie Benedict Cumberbatch said he went skydiving, paragliding, on the Shotover Jet around the rapids.
