If you intend to visit the Statue of Liberty while in New York and you want to go inside the statue then you need to buy a ticket to the "crown" as the standard ticket to Liberty Island will not permit you to go up inside the statue.

Many people are disappointed to find once they get there, they can only look at the statue from the outside.

Purchase tickets before you leave New Zealand as there are limited numbers each day.
