Ask an expert: Family cruise in Noumea
Q Hi, I'm on a cruise in Noumea in April with my elderly parents and my child (aged 8). A lot of the onboard excursions like snorkelling or cycling exclude children under 10 and people over 70.
Is it recommended that I go with the onboard excursions available or try to sort out my own with other tour operators?
A. Noumea is a great family holiday destination!
On board excursions on cruise ships are tried and tested, and approved by the cruise companies and past passengers, which comply with strict safety regulations.
For this reason, cruise excursions tend to be a bit more trusted than what some tour operators can provide.
f you wanted to pursue snorkelling and cycling on your own, there would be no problem doing this, but it is imperative that you ensure you are adequately covered by travel insurance.
A safe holiday is a great holiday!
