Q. Our ideal accommodation in Hawaii would be 4-5 star, self catering with a big resort style pool. Preferably new(ish) Can you help please?

A. There are some great options for self-catering style accommodation in Hawaii or 'condominium style' as they call it there.

These condos will generally have some kind of kitchen facilities ranging from just a microwave and fridge through to full kitchens with stoves, pots & pans.

It depends on where you are going in Hawaii as to the different standards of condos available and to what sort of resort facilities they have.

In Honolulu for example, they are more high rise style, with the higher end properties located closer to the beach, and the lower star properties back a few blocks from the beach.

In the Neighbour Islands it is more low rise resorts, but still with self-catering options and more of them have the bigger 'resort style' pools that you are after.

Your local House of Travel will be able to let you know about the properties that best suit your needs as the accommodation options vary quite considerably.
