Q: My partner and I are planning a trip to the USA in September next year for 3 weeks. We want to visit New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and LA - with a stay in Anaheim for 2 days at Disneyland.
We do not want to do an organised tour and are hesitant about renting a car. What order would you recommend we visit the cities? Would we be best to fly between every city, and how would we go about finding a good deal for domestic flights?
A: Those are certainly some great cities to see!
I would recommend New York first - that gets your longest flight out of the way. Then head to Las Vegas, LA/Anaheim and up to San Francisco.
For your transportation options, the easiest (and quickest) way between New York and Las Vegas is to fly.
Then take a Lux Bus luxury coach transfer between Las Vegas and LA/Anaheim, which leaves Las Vegas in the afternoon daily and gets you to Anaheim just after 9pm. They offer onboard snacks, light refreshments, onboard movies and free wi-fi.
Once in Anaheim I would recommend at least 3 days at Disneyland because there is so much to see and do. You'll be pushed to see everything in 2 days - plus it's a great place to base yourself for other theme park day trips.
Flying is also the best way to travel between LA/Anaheim and San Francisco.
For the best deals on USA domestic flights, come in to your nearest House of Travel and they will be able to source the right option for you. Enjoy your trip!
