Head over to TravelByDrone, a curated index of drone videos on YouTube sorted on a handy world map. Pick a place, click a pin and boom - you'll be floating over oceans, cities and forests in no time.

So if you'd rather stay home, but still want to see the wonders of the world, they're just a few clicks away.

As you'd expect, the US and Europe have the highest concentration of pins.

But there are plenty of drone videos from many other countries, including this stunning one from Sri Lanka.
