Southwest flight attendant praised for going 'above and beyond' with fussy baby
A Southwest Airlines flight attendant is winning praise from around the world after going "above and beyond" the call of duty.
After a flight from Florida to New York, Heather Gooch posted a photo and her heartfelt thanks to a woman named "Anisse" on Facebook.
Gooch said she wasn't sure how her 9-month-old son was going to handle his first flight. And, perhaps not surprisingly, it didn't take long for little Aiden to get antsy.
Gooch said "Anisse" did everything she could to help make the trip smoother for the family.
"I have NEVER had a flight attendant as kind and as helpful as she was. My son adored her and kept looking for her as she passed by," Gooch wrote. "She came and picked him up and walked up and down the aisle with him while my husband and I ate our lunch.
"Although this may not be a story that stands out from the rest, I wanted to thank her and let her know how appreciated she is."
More than 57,000 shares and 400,000 likes later, the flight attendant - whose name is actually Anissa Charles - discovered the post and seemed baffled by the response.
"Y'all are going to make me cry!" she commented on Gooch's post.
Charles insisted it was her pleasure to help and Aiden made her day.
"I don't mind being used by the babies lol," she wrote.
