The Middle Eastern carrier starts its non-stop service from Dubai to Auckland on March 1 using a 266 seat Boeing 777-200LR.
At just over 17 hours the route will be one of the longest flights in the world.
The flight connects to Emirates' extensive European and African networks from Dubai.
Fares to London return start at $2318 - just $9 more than Auckland to Dubai return.
Of the carriers offering one-stop Auckland to London flights Emirates is the second cheapest behind China Southern Airlines' $1756 fares via Guangzhou.

Qatar Airways is also planning to launch flights later this year from Doha in the Middle East to Auckland, a route estimated to take nearly 19 hours. It would also target travellers flying between New Zealand and Europe.
House of Travel commercial director Brent Thomas said airfares to Europe were likely to come down over the next 12 months due to increased competition, more fuel efficient aircraft being deployed and cheaper fuel.
"They're not necessarily at rock bottom yet," Thomas said.
Off-season return fares to Europe dropped to about $1500 last year, he said.
"In the next 12 months we think we're going to see some fantastic pricing from a number of airlines."
Meanwhile, on Tuesday House of Travel offered a limited number of $399 Air New Zealand fares from Auckland to either San Francisco or Los Angeles, which had now sold out.
