There's something oddly mesmerising about watching water plunge off the top of a waterfall.

Its hypnotic, infinite flow of beauty can trap even the most seasoned nature-gazer.

Unfortunately, not all of us can stare the day away watching loops of plummeting water, but we can take a few moments to gawk at these beautiful pictures of waterfalls.
