Timba Timba is a tiny, uninhabited island in the Celebes Sea off the north east coast of Sabah, Malaysia.

This strip of sand is surrounded by crystal clear water with amazing coral reefs and abundant sea life including sea turtles.

The water temperature is about 29 degrees, you never have to get out. Sabah is known as "the land below the winds" so there is virtually no wind ever but a thunderstorm is promised most afternoons.

There are equally beautiful beaches here in New Zealand but 29 degrees water temp is hard to beat when you add it to the combination.
