As summer approaches we've relaunched our world's best beaches map. Our readers have been sharing their favourite spots. Katherine McCarthny shares a special place in New Zealand.

Within walking distance to Waihi beach, Orokawa Bay is one of my favourite places.

It is only accessible by walking track, which makes it that extra bit special when you finally arrive.

It often has good surf and a pretty cool shore break.

So where's the best beach you've ever been to? We'll be mapping all your favourite spots an interactive map below - so tell us its exact location, why it's so good, what your memory of it is. And don't forget to include a photo.

Click the big green button below the map to share your beach story.
