Alyssa Ramos has written a blog on how travel has destroyed her love life.

It can't be denied that Alyssa Ramos is stunning, but the self-confessed travel nut, who runs the Instagram account mylifesatravelmovie, has revealed that her love of travel has also put an end to her love life.

The 27-year-old has written an honest blog for the Huffington Post entitled How Traveling Solo Destroyed My Dating Life.

In the blog, Ramos describes how she thought she would follow the same path as her Facebook friends; engaged and married with children all by the age of 30, but thanks to an insatiable desire to travel the world, Alyssa instead has found herself 8 countries down and single.

She admits that her travelling escapades have destroyed her dating life, but in a good way.

Ramos writes that travelling solo has expanded her horizons,

"After breaking up and travelling mostly solo to three continents in three weeks, year-ago-me learned a lot.... I learned that there is this massive thing called a planet that is filled with millions of people... I'm pretty sure I thought I was in love twice while abroad, which made me realise that you never know where in the world your actual soulmate is."

Speaking for independent single girls all over the world, Ramos said her love of travel made her not want to seek out prospective partners and helped her to realise that she didn't have to settle for just anyone.

"I stopped going out, because after travelling to places I had never seen before, it left me with zero desire to go to a crowded bar or nightclub, because all I wanted to do was work on figuring out how to travel more. Granted, I was already pretty much over the party scene before the trip, but it's kind of hard to meet people if you don't go out."

"I won't try to be with someone I don't feel insanely passionate about, just like I won't settle for dealing with abuse from someone who I do. Travelling made me realise that there's more to experience in life, and that settling, especially for someone you aren't supposed to be with, is a terrible idea."

Now that Ramos is more in tune with who she is, she also knows what she wants - a guy who travels too.

"Finally, the last reason why travelling has ruined my dating life, is because it made me only interested in guys who travel.

"That's a hit or miss in itself because typically, guys who travel, are already travelling, and aren't used to having someone else in their travel plans, or are difficult to coordinate with. They're also used to non-conventional, long-distance, non-serious relationships, unless they happen to find that one girl who makes them want to actually travel the world with someone.

"It may be a challenge to attain that rare relationship goal, but then again, travelling solo has made me always opt for a challenge."
