Holiday homes of the week: Coromandel gallery

WHAT A WELCOME: This is certainly a place to set yourself up for the day.

ALL UNDERCOVER: A bit of light summer rain won’t get in the way of dinner prep.

THE LAWN: Definitely ready for some backyard cricket

INSIDE: Plenty of places for everyone to pull up a chair.

IS THERE ANYWHERE ELSE: In the world you’d rather be?

RELAX: There is nothing you need to do here apart from enjoy being on holiday.

INSIDE AND OUT: Whatever the weather there will be somewhere to dine in style.

PERFECT SPOT: For a mid-afternoon snooze.

With summer on it's way - there is no place to be like the Coromandel!

Where: Cooks Beach, Coromandel

What: A sweet little surfie bach perfect for a beach holiday. The Coromandel has some absolutely stunning stretches of sand and whether you want to get out on your board or watch from the shore, Cooks Beach is a winner.

Who: With room for seven to sleep, this is definitely a good one for the family.

Our review: This is the perfect little place to do the quintessential Kiwi thing – spend the day at the beach and then hit the BBQ for a feed.

Price: $130 - $200 per night

Where: Whangapoua, Coromandel

What: An absolute beach front location – you can't beat that! Ridiculously popular in the summer holidays, so would recommend heading there outside of the Christmas/New Years break.

Who: Suitable for the whole family as there is room for everyone and even a sleepout for the teenagers.

Our review: For a beach getaway with style, there is no doubt that staying here would tick all the boxes. And when you 'get bored' of Whangapoua beach, New Chums – once rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world - is just up the road.

Price: $695 to $1275
