Dozens of flights were cancelled and delayed as fog settled over Auckland this morning.
The fog hung over the city until about 10am, causing 21 cancellations and 13 delays with domestic flights out of Auckland. When fog lifted, airlines began working to clear the backlog, an airport spokesman said.
No international flights were affected.
Fullers said ferry services out of Auckland were experiencing five to 10-minute delays.
The airport spokesman said in any given year fog affected flights on 12 to 16 days.
Last Thursday dozens of flights to and from Auckland were cancelled or delayed as fog blanketed the city.
And earlier this month Auckland's worst fog in 20 years disrupted the plans of thousands of airline passengers travelling through Auckland over a two-day period.
More than 100 flights were affected on a single day.
Anyone travelling through Auckland today should check flight information first.
