A Russian air crew have surely completed one of the most dangerous takeoffs ever captured on video.

The accompanying clip was uploaded to YouTube a couple of days ago, although the exact date of the takeoff is unknown.

Website nycaviation.com believes the takeoff was at the Bodaybo airport which is alongside the Vitim River and suggests the runways condition could be the result of a flood.

Whatever the reason, the airfield seems to double as a swamp as the plane, an Antonov An-24, struggles to plough through the conditions. The pilot does manage to get the necessary speed to extract the wheels from the mud and make a safe takeoff.
