Thick morning fog slowed operations at Hamilton International Airport today.
An Air New Zealand spokesman said the early morning conditions had affected all flights from 7am and resulted in one cancelled flight and four on the ground ready to go when the fog cleared.
MetService spokesman John Law said conditions would remain grim in the Waikato until around 11am.
"It should start to break up quite nicely around about then, and you will have a fine, dry day ahead of you again.
"Just a word of warning that the fog will likely be reforming again overnight and you will have the same situation again tomorrow morning - so it might pay to factor that into your Tuesday morning travel plans."
Thick fog shut down Hamilton International Airport twice in one week in June last year.
