The $1000 reward shows how much Chad Laboyrie wants his beloved puppy back.

Billy, a female seven-month-old American bulldog, was taken from Laboyrie's Ohaupo, Waikato, property on Monday 7 July.

Since then he and his partner have been trying everything - from flyers to Facebook - to get her home.

''She's just a friendly little puppy,'' Laboyrie said. ''It's not about the money, we just want her home...The house feels a bit empty without her.''

Billy wasn't the type of dog to roam either - especially not without the couple's other dog, Jazz.

But when Laboyrie came home to his rural Jary Rd property that Monday he found only an agitated Jazz in the fenced yard. His partner was in Fiji at the time and the news ''wrecked her holiday''.

Initially they offered a $500 reward, and they have since doubled it.

So far there's been plenty of support in their search, but they're still trying to ''Bring Billy Back''.
