A massive blaze engulfed a warehouse in Hamilton last night.
The fire at Apparelmaster on Mainstreet Pl in Te Rapa took just under under 40 minutes to contain. All Hamilton fire stations, with assistance from Ngaruawahia, attended the blaze.
Senior Fire Communications advisor Michael Upton said no one was in the building at the time.
Seven fire crews attended the scene.
Fire investigator Dave Jenkins is today working through the various machines inside Apparelmaster to find the cause.
"We're looking at tracking cables [through the machinery] and we're trying to eliminate each machine as we go."
Jenkins said they have a few leads and he was confident of finding the cause today.
Apparelmaster rent and launder work wear.
It also supplies and services items such as soap dispensers and washroom consumables.
A woman at the scene, who said she was an owner, would not comment to the Waikato Times last night as she was too distressed and did not want any information about the fire made public.
